Maid cafes are made of pink plastic, beverages and appetizers are (seem to be) cooked with playdough and the servers are dressed up as old-fashioned housemaids, addressing you as “my lord” or “my lady”. You are not allowed to take pictures inside the cafe, but you can get a selfie with a waitress for a fee. You can also sing songs together or play games (also for a fee). The proper etiquette before eating or drinking something is to make it tastier by making a heart with your hands and saying loudly “moe moe cute”.
