Generally, love hotel rooms are twice the size of a usual hotel room in Japan. Intriguing decoration with a lot of animal patterns and pink hues should be expected. A wall picture is intentionally hanged with inclination, to express a sense of passion. Such hotels offer huge bathrooms and a wide set of amenities, as well as cheap in-the-house cuisine. Much to my surprise, a wide range of skin and hair products or tools is provided for the ladies. Other services usually include private Jacuzzi, karaoke device, huge TV screen and rental service for anything from costumes to pleasure devices (Akihabara-culture is bestseller). Due to the nature of love hotels as secret harbours of love, discretion towards the customers instructs self check-in machines instead of a reception counter. This is also the reason why they typically do not have any windows.
